News flash from Prof. Michael Geist — Canadian DMCA Introduction Delayed. This is good news for sure.
Are we seeing this delay because of the our rally over weekend ? (see report 1 and report 2) I don’t really know. But lets pat ourselves on the back a little and pretend for a moment that the voices of the Canadians across the land have been heard by Minister Jim Prentice.
Even if this dream may only last for a day or two until he actually tables the bill and we have to fight the battle again. Lets enjoy our dream for now.
Of course, if the delay is for much longer and if it is meant to allow for consultations with Canadians across the country, then it will be great news indeed! There is no indication of this is the case here.
Again, thanks to everyone that came to our little rally this past Saturday. It is the little rally that could!

All I can say is: WAY TO GO CANADA and CANADIANS! WOO HOO!! this is the power of the people speaking out. Now, we must be on guard, and keep up the pressure. :)

You are absolutely right. We need to keep up the pressure as this delay may be just a temporarily delay for a day or two. At this point, I hope they are smart enough to know that we are not going away any time soon.
