Based on the positive view expressed in another blog I read, I started reading the UK comedian Stephen Fry’s blog a few days ago and found some of his writing interesting (e.g. this Nov. 3rd “Dork Talk” piece).
And because of that name recognition, I learned of his recent International Emmy win of his BBC documentary Stephen Fry’s Secret Life Of The Manic Depressive. Wow, what a heart warming, open and insightful documentary!
I call myself a documentarian sometimes (along with many things), I think Stephen has told an incredible story here and I love to be able to tell stories with similar impact one day.
Here is part 1 of Stephen Fry’s Secret Life Of The Manic Depressive on YouTube. And you can find the other parts (for a total of 14 parts). Highly recommended.

I am Bipolar and found his documentry to be very much to the point. It was great to have someone that is so famous be so open and honest about what we go through. Hopefully it will do as much to making people aware of what we are about.

Stephen Fry and the other regular people and stars in the program all have done a wonderful thing in telling an important story.
